Can I cancel my plan after signing up?
Yes, you can cancel your health insurance at any time.
However, while you can stop coverage whenever you want, you can usually only start a new plan during Open Enrollment or if you have a Qualifying Life Event.
If you experience one of these, you typically have 60 days from the event to enroll in a new plan via a Special Enrollment Period (SEP).
Some of the most common life events that can trigger a special enrollment period are: income, losing a job, getting married or divorced and moving.
Income Based Life Events
If your income increases or decreases, you must report it to the Marketplace.

-
Increased Income: You must update your info to avoid owing money back on your 2026 tax return.
